Polymer Clay Workshops

Well known polymer clay artist and author Christi Friesen of CF Originals will be coming to the Kissmystamp Studio owned by Darleen Bellan. The studio is located in Hollis New Hampshire, just over the Mass. State line near Nashua. To join us for this action packed weekend of creating and claying, pre-registration and pre-payment is required. See details below.

Please note that while workshops specify certain finished pieces, Christi will also show how critter and floral embellishments being made can also be used as focal beads, pins or pendants for those that would prefer to wear their creations as jewelry.

Workshop Descriptions:

Friday:

“Freeform Focal” This class will combine dichroic glass pieces with polymer clay and other stones or pearls of your choice that can be worn as a focal bead or even a decorative pin for your lapel. Christi will also use this evening to meet and greet all new students and old friends! She will have the best and earliest selection of her pieces on display for eye candy or purchase. Arrive early for the best selection!

Saturday:

“Just Chillin’ ! Wall mirror project. What a way to create a winter wonderland. Christi is going to show us new and creative ways to make ice and snow effects. By combining these with the little penguins, seals, polar bears and other arctic wonders, she will teach us to make, and also the additions of crystals, pearls and gemstones, you will leave with a unique wall piece that all your friends will want!

Sunday:

“Monkey Business” Vessel---- We will Go Bananas in this class while learning to cover a glass vessel with clay and then further embellish it with sculpted vines, branches, jungle florals and even banana trees and bamboo! Then Christi will show students how to make an adorable monkey to climb on your piece. And of course there will be the addition of stones, pearls and crystals! This workshop is a CF Original First. Being offered here for the very first time. Christi will also show you how to make your vessel into a hangable planter or free standing piece of art.

As with previous workshops, and due to the fact that some of the students are coming from a distance or directly from work, the Friday evening event is also a “pot luck” appetizer event. Feel free to bring an easy to handle food item to share. I will have coffee and tea available all weekend. There is a full kitchen and microwave available. There is a refrigerator also. On Sat. & Sun. we will break a ½ hour for lunch that will be on your own. Students may bring a lunch, however, there a many eating establishments within a 1 mile drive. Class will resume sharply after the break, so plan accordingly for lunch break!

The zip code of the studio is 03049, for those planning on map questing directions. There are numerous hotels in the area. The 3 closest (within a 5 minute ride) to the studio are the Marriot in Merrimack, The Marriot in Nashua, The Crowne Plaza in Nashua. There is also a Red Roof Inn in south Nashua (10 minutes).

Cancellation Policy:

There will be no refunds given after 2/15/2007. Cancellations made before that time are subject to a $50.00 travel expense fee.
