New York Polymer Clay Guild (NYPCG) member Melissa McClain is doing program through Landmark Education called Self  Expression and Leadership (SELP). In this program each participant does a community project. She's involving friends, family, coworkers and artists she meets along the way to create a community of people contributing to her selected cause, Cystic Fibrosis.

So far, Melissa has community members who make jewelry and will be lending their talents in beading and wire wrapping. Thanks to the NYPCG, she now has friends who work with polymer clay and would love to help make photo transfer tiles for the necklaces. The goal is to make at least 100 necklaces or more to sell. This is a great opportunity for the NYPCG to participate in this project. All proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The NYPCG is having a CLAY DAY for this project on Sunday, March 30th in the morning (the rest of the day is an open clay day) at St. John's University, 101 Murray St. in Manhattan. The cost for the Clay Day is $10 per person and is opened to anyone who would like to participate.
