Polymer Clay Workshops

This four-day intensive workshop employs wire-working and polymer clay form building techniques to create innovative small-scale sculptural forms in jewelry. First we will fabricate wire frame armatures and then complete basket forms with a tinkered wire-wrapping technique. Next, we will create original polymer clay forms through staged clay layering and multi-cycle curing to complete pieces. Finally, we’ll explore finishing techniques with an emphasis on an array of surface ornamentation options. This is a technique workshop, not a project class; therefore all students should have a basic working knowledge of polymer clay.

Cost: $550.00 for 4 days

Location: 81 Sundance Drive, Santa Fe, New Mexico
You will need to drive to this location from the hotel. It will take about 15 minutes and we would recommend car pooling. If anyone has difficulty hitching a ride and does not have a car we will arrange pick up. Morning coffee and snacks will be provided as well as water all day.

Rates are$99.00 per night week & $104.00 weekend for a room with two queen beds

Lunches: We have made arrangements for box lunches to be delivered at $10.00 a lunch. They include a sandwich, chips, fruit, dessert and drink. I will need to know one week before the workshop if you will want a box lunch. There will be choices for the sandwiches. You can bring your own lunch and we can refrigerate it for you. There is no place close by to go have lunch.
