Christi Friesen has offered to do a 3 day workshop, April 17, 18, and
19th, 2009. Three fun-filled days of generously discounted classes.
The Indiana Bead Society can't begin to thank Christi for her help in
this event.
This workshop is a benefit event for polymer clay artist Ponsawan Silapiruti 's daughter, Ada. You
may know the story: On March 2, 2008, Ada was a vibrant, caring young
woman full of life, excitement, and promise. On March 3rd 2008 she was
in a coma with brain damage and broken bones. Hit by a drunk driver
that sustained no damage. The world changed for Ponsawan, Ada, and
their family.
Full details and online registration at: http://indianabeadsociety.org/class-friesen.htm
The Indiana Bead Societ hopes that you'll attend the classes or
consider a donation to Ada (and Ponsawan). Ponsawan blogs about Ada's
progress at http://dearada.blogspot.com .
Featured work by Ponsawan Silapiruti. "You are the Sunshine of My Life"

The Executive Board and Executive Director of the International Polymer Clay Association have created a survey for the polymer clay community. As members of the community, your input is especially valuable to them! The Executive Board will be meeting in two weeks for a Strategic Planning Meeting. The information gathered in this survey will be used at the meeting to help create our plan for the next two years.
The IPCA wants to ensure that the suvey is available to the broadest audience possible and request your assistance once you have completed the survey. Please post a note on your Web site, blog, or online polymer clay community regarding the survey. The survey is anonymous and will take about five (5) minutes to complete.
The survey link is below.

Dan Cormier & Tracy Holmes are pleased to announce a series of 'Spring Break' workshops, in their first-ever teaching trip to Florida and Georgia this March 2009.
Although they have been a professional teaching team in the polymer clay community since 1996, and have taught their original techniques for this medium in eight countries, Dan and Tracy have never managed to make it to the southeast corner of the US.
Plans for their debut trip to this region started when they were chosen for the faculty of the 2009 Orlando Clay Fandango Retreat, located this year at a beautiful beachfront hotel in historic St. Augustine.
Honoured to join fellow teachers Christi Friesen, Lynne Ann Schwarzenberg, and Penni Jo Couch, Dan & Tracy are looking forward to making this year's Fandango fan-tastic, presenting their flagship workshop for creating decorative veneers, 'The Cutting Edge,' and Tracy's class for making the most 'unreal' polymer cay pebbles, 'A Day at the Beach' (an obvious choice for this oceanside venue!). NEWSFLASH! These classes are SOLD OUT.
