What do these things have in common?

For the month of April the ArtsNow Gallery of Edmonds Community College will be displaying the PMC, Oil, Sumi and Polymer exhibit. This exhibit will be showcasing the work of three of the ArtsNow department instructors and their students in the mediums described by the exhibit title.  The exhibiting instructors include Meredith Arnold, (PMC and Polymer Clay), Suzi Turner, (Sumi) , and Craig Ohrback, (Oil Painting).

  This exhibit provides the opportunity to see what directions students take the things that they learn and apply their unique hand in their own ways.

This class promises to take beginners to the intermediate level very quickly while creating lots of exciting jewelry composition options.  Learn how to imitate semi-precious materials, apply paints, powders and inclusions, make graduated sized beads, carve, drill, finish and make your own tools.  Drinking from a fire hose has never been more fun than this!

EDGE - a professional development program for artists

This program is designed to help artists navigate the business world successfully with the skills and resources they need to do what they love.

Instruction covers everything from creating a professional portfolio and business organization to legal issues such as contracting, licensing, copyright law and tax topics. Content areas also include instruction on building a resume, artistic statement, credentials, self promotion, marketing, submissions and avenues for exhibition, grant opportunities and much more. 

The EDGE program includes presentations by professionals in the field providing the real inside scoop for how each system works and how to make that system work for you. This is a 50 hour training program.
