The Tallahassee Polymer Clay Art Guild is pleased to bring polymer clay, fiber, and basket artist Karen Woods to Tallahassee for a class on Saturday, November 20, 2010. The class is Silk Screening on Polymer Clay. This is a versatile technique that can also be used on fabric and metal (enameling, etching with a resist).
A minimum of 7 students are needed, there is no maximum cut-off (within reason! ;-) ). The class will be held at the Lafayette Park Arts & Crafts Center from 10 AM - 4 PM (approx)
There are many hotels in the area, for all budgets. Please contact me with any questions.

Come join the Orlando Area Polymer Clay Guild (OAPCG) for our 6th Annual Orlando Clay Fandango. Our theme for 2011 is Hidden Treasures. This year are exploring the Hidden Treasures of Polymer Clay with Christi Friesen, Maureen Carlson and Penni Jo Couch.
- Christi Friesen will work her magic with polymer clay, armature, and resin in her creative hanging tree project.
- Maureen Carlson will take you on an adventure into storyland and help you create your own story necklace using polymer clay and alcohol inks
- Penni Jo Couch will take you into the world faux ribbon embroidery stitches and flourishes, molding forms, buttons, and iron-on glass jewels to create your very own polymer clay sampler.
- There will be demos by Linda Hess, Kathleen Davis, and Nancy Welch and others throughout the day and evening as they share their secrets and talents with all the attendees as well as a treasure hunt on the beautiful conference retreat grounds.

Hi all!
Just wanted to let you know that if you live in the Columbus, Ohio area or would like to visit there, Lynne Ann will be teaching two single day workshops at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center during the first weekend of October. On Saturday, October 2 from 9:30am to 6:30pm Lynne Ann will be teaching Butterfly Wing Bonanza. In this class students will learn to create a unique butterfly wing cane that can then be transformed into a virtually unlimited number of variations. There is an $8.00 materials fee for this class. On Sunday, October 3 from 9:30am to 6:30 pm she will be teaching Filigree/Floral Fusion. In this class students will learn how to combine colorful floral cane elements with intricate metal filigree pieces to create a stunning mixed media piece. There is a materials fee of $12.00 for the class. You can choose to attend one day for $80.00 Or enjoy both days for just $150.00. Both classes will include detailed written instructions and color photos of the class steps.

The International Polymer Clay Association (IPCA) is now accepting class proposals for their 2011 Retreat, to be held in Bloomingdale, IL (metro Chicago). The dates of the classes will be July 11, 12, and 13 and the Retreat will take place July 14, 15, and most of July 16th. The Retreat and classes will be concurrent with the Metal Clay World Conference (MCWC) and their pre-Conference classes being held at the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort.
The IPCA is interested in class proposals from individuals outside our community as well as those who work exclusively with polymer clay. Please see the full proposal guidelines as well as the Instructor agreement for complete information.
