The 2010 EuroClay Carnival will be taking place in Madrid, Spain, from October the 9th to the 12th (both included). The cost of the event will be of 250€. This price will include:
- Six workshops of four hours each with international polymer clay artists
- One extra workshop for finishing projects off, and chatting with the teachers
- Welcome kit full of surprise goodies
- Celebration dinner on Monday night
- Welcome cocktail (Saturday morning during registration)
- Refreshments during the four days
- A lot of surprises, and unlimited fun!

The Bakersfield Polymer clay guild is proud to announce their first ever Clayathon July 6-9 2010. It will be 4 fun filled days of classes with awesome instructors. Class size will be limited to 15 people! Our instructors will be:
- Lisa Pavelka — Polymer and Art Clay Silver Pendant
- Jana Roberts Benzon — Faux Laser Cut Technique
- Kim Cavender — Beach Stones
- Christi Friesen — teaching the Christi Mystery Class
Cost of the 4 days including a Friday night banquet is $425.00 and the event is limited to 60 people.

Saturday, April 17th, 10 am-6 pm : Intro To Flower Caning: Building Better Canes from Start to Finish
In this techniques workshop, you will learn how Lynne Ann uses flower canes as the building blocks for her traditional tile design jewelry, known the world over. What sets her jewelry apart from the rest are the methods she uses for brush-stroke shading, building, caulking, refining and reducing her flower canes. The fundamentals you will learn in this workshop can be applied to any type of cane. Lynne Ann will also demonstrate the best ways to slice, layer and arrange the canes to produce beautiful floral veneers for beads, tile jewelry and faux fabric designs. Students can swap pieces of their canes at the end of class so that they can leave with a number of flower canes!
$65.00 plus tax Materials Fee: $5.00. Supply List will be provided. Seating is limited, call to register!
Sunday, April 18th, 10am-6pm: Creating Pandora-Style BirthFlower and BirthStone Beads
Did you know that there are Birth Flowers to commemorate each month just as there are Birth Stones? Students will make Pandora-style beads using flower canes, Swarovski Crystals, and specially designed bead cores for uniquely personalized pieces that not only fit on the Pandora bracelets but Chamilia, Troll and Seattle bracelet systems as well. Want to make floral beads to match your wedding bouquet, celebrate Mother’s Day or to mark a special occasion? You can do that as well! You can either bring your own flower canes (taught in Saturday’s Workshop) or purchase canes during the class to make your beads. Students will be given tips and tricks for successful caning, cutting, rolling in, refining, finishing and designing caned pieces.
Workshop Fees: $75.00 (plus tax) materials fee of $5.00.
Supply List will be provided for all classes. Seating is limited, call to register!
